xxxx Martin D-28 with herringbone trim, serial number xxxx4. Beautiful/original Brazilian Rosewood finish on back and sides - worth the price of admission alone. Sweet sounding guitar when I purchased it 39 years ago - much improved now. Pre-war Martin instruments are sought after by professional musicians for their deeper, richer harmonics and higher volume capability than most newer instruments. This one has original tuning machines. Top finish has some crazing - does not affect the sound. Action is fully adjustable to buyer preferences by any authorized Martin service shop. Per a nearby Martin service shop, the bridge saddle is leaning toward the rosette and can be easily adjusted.
